on a date with Harold..

So today will hopefully be a very productive day. I am spending many hours in the Harold B. Lee Library (hence the title). Beth and I reserved a study group room for 4 hours. I will be working on physical science and my living prophets project.

Physical science is definitely not my favorite class. I have to take the final exam this week...my goal is to take it Thursday night. I really haven't learned very much in this class, so I'm really stressing about taking the final. I really need this class for my major, so I hope my grade isn't too bad.

Oh, and my living prophets project...I procrastinated. Big time. It's due on Monday. At the beginning of the semester, everyone had to create their own self-directed projected. I decided to read 4 Conference editions of the Ensign and then make a book with quotes I liked and thoughts I had. I'm almost done with the first edition, and it's taken me a long time. I have a feeling that I will be reading the Ensign for many, many hours.

And the two assignments I mentioned aren't even close to everything else I have to do this week. I think I'm going to go insane. Wish me luck.

I do not like wearing my retainer.

It is currently 1:34am and I am not asleep (obviously). I'm not sure why. Sometimes, I just don't want to go to bed. I always regret it the next day when I'm tired. My excuse is that I need to finish up some homework (like tonight, I was supposed to do some stuff for me integrated biology lab)but I generally get side tracked.

So tonight I went on a walk/jog with one of my really good friends. It's always fun to do this kind of thing with her. Sometimes we talk about really odd things, but tonight we had a very interesting conversation.

I'm not sure how it started, but we ended up discussing some of our ancestors and stories we knew about them. I told one about my great-great-great-great (I think) grandmother Margaret. She is an amazing woman in my opinion. She left her home in Scotland and traveled all the way to the US on her own because she wanted to join the Church and live in Zion. It must have taken so much faith for her to leave her older sister and her country like that. Wow. I wonder if I would have been able to do the same thing if I had been in her position.

I am so grateful for all the people who came before me and set such great examples. I have heard so many wonderful stories of faith and determination about my ancestors. I cannot wait to meet them in the next life and just thank them for everything they've done for me and my family. I hope that I can live my life in a way that will make them proud, as well as my posterity.

Who know exercising could bring about such an interesting topic?

lazy days

I love lazy days. You know what I'm talking about...the days where you sleep in til really late and you stay in your pajamas all day, not caring what you look like or anything. That's the kind of day I'm having today. It's great....

Except for the fact that I should be having a really productive day. I should be working on the huge piles of homework I have instead of creating a random blog and laying in my bed at 3:00 in the afternoon still in my pajamas.

I'm really going to regret this lazy day later, but for now, I think I'll just enjoy it.
